THE ORIGIN OF SAFA ALLIANCE
SAFA started out in 2017 as an organized collection of fundraiser projects and donation efforts, with a small volunteer base. As time progressed, its efforts grew to higher potential and it developed as a larger entity.

In early 2021, SAFA became established as a legal organization. A Board of Directors was selected to lead SAFA on its path of increasing potential for economic mobility through youth empowerment. SAFA gained 501(c)3 charity status shortly after this and also saw a huge increase in its volunteer base, as students across multiple states were empowered to take part in our mission.

SAFA saw its first large-scale collaboration with Chicago Public Schools. Chicago Public Schools (CPS), is the third-largest school district in America, with a student population of just under 350,000 kids.
As SAFA grew exponentially in size, the organization was able to branch off to expand on what it can offer. SAFA strived to teach business skills through free curriculum and workshops for kids, and prepare them for the real world.

Today, SAFA is currently expanding into a national effort by using the lessons learned from the Coronavirus pandemic. SAFA's workshops and economics curriculum are widely accessible through its reliance on technology to function. As the digital divide lessens, SAFA's reach expands with it in order to deliver quality lessons and resources to underserved communities.
